Are You Eligible?
Eligibility to vote in the 2026 Municipal Election in the Town of Parry Sound means you must meet all Qualifications of Electors as listed in the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, s.17(2).  You must be a Canadian citizen, be at least 18 years of age, be a resident, owner or tenant of land in Parry Sound or the spouse of such tenant or owner.  You also must not be prohibited from voting under Section 90(3) of the Municipal Elections Act, 1996, s.17(2), or any other Act.

You may only vote once in the Town of Parry Sound municipal election regardless of how many properties you own or rent within the town.

School Support
Property owners in Ontario must designate support for a school system, even if they do not have children or if their children do not currently attend school. This designation appears on your Property Assessment Notice.  Learn more by visiting MPAC.

Eligible electors will receive a Voter Information Letter (VIL) by post mail. This will include instructions on how to vote by telephone or internet. Voting Assistance & Accessibility
The Town of Parry Sound Town Office will host a voting station that you may use.  If required you may also ask for assistance from staff on hand.
